Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: usworlds.info/slow/video/e6p6rWnNf2irm5k), we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎
It’s funny how fast Wyoming weather can change, it goes from beautiful blue skies to cold snow storms 🥶
Fill the van up. Fill your propane tank and boondock til it's over. Why are you risking your home like that ?
Glad you two are safe
-20 Celsius is crazy! How the hell do you keep on the van!?
I have been to yellow stone its so pretty so sorry your experience was not good. 😓
I’m from Florida and I drove through all the blizzards and snow storms in Oregon Washington and Montana. You just have to take your time and be careful
if you ever start to slip, do not brake! feet off the gas and brake and try to steer out of it as best you can, use judgement of course
*laughs in Minnesotan*
Why didn't you check road and weather conditions ahead of time? It's not like you are on pre-planned vacation with no slack! Also, not sure if driving into the wee hours in winter weather up north is advisable. As for the park, I'd love to see it in winter sometime. I wonder how much those coach tours run, can't be cheap.
Thank you so much for putting up c° 🇨🇦
Faith???How do you keep the LORD with you?
Girl I’m with you❣️. I feel the same way about driving in that 🤬! Sugar & Ice! Your man is brave💗
I went to Utah for spring break and saw Alot of bison on Antelope National Park (I think national) but they were huge and cool
I love how I know exactly where you were because there's so little on that drive that all the landmarks really stood out. check out Cargo_Curtis on instagram
Visit Delaware
Guys you have to watch the weather hourly. So glad you got off the highway and are safe!
Happens every winter up here... kinda use to it.
I whent their in for summer prismatic spring is the best and other cool stuff thir to
Everyone: OMG BLACK ICE! Me as an Ohioan: *Drifts car over black ice like it’s normal.*
Are the animals cold ???? :(
lmfao what a female and dude is wearing sunglasses while saying he cant see
I’m so glad you guys are safe and got out of that bad weather condition. Praying for your safe travels ahead. God bless.
We are new Englanders bum bum bum bum bum
The scary makes you appreciate the otherwise boring later. Oh boy we've been there. Keep traveling.
Cries from driving on icy road, IMMA BADASS 😂
This is why my mom is scared of night driving 😂
Buffalo are amazing!!!
Dont drive if your tired.
Winter lesson, dont travel if you dont need too. Driving in snow or unpredictable weather is horrible, always risky
I'm waiting for the scary part
I've been in this situation many many times! Make sure that you have winter tires, and an experienced driver! Drive with caution lights on, well below speed limit. You should be fine!
10:25 It's the Madison River. Easy to see how you can get confused after only 3 hours sleep! The Madison eventually flows to the Three Forks in Montana to form the official headwaters of the Missouri.
This is normal for me
Tony3d aka Dave2d should roast them
We got hit by the same storm here in CO and Got 34 inches of snow. We had to cancel our Spring break plans to camp at arches in Moab! Glad ya'll are okay!
When was this ... we were there last 3/28-30 @ West Yellowstone but the park was closed.. so the only way was to ride that big yellow bus we saw it parked nearby our cabin🤭
Omigod you guys got so lucky. Beautiful beautiful sites that I will probably never get to see because I'm all the way on the East Coast. Thank you for bringing it to me
Wowwww. Glad you are safe
I live in Michigan this lady is fucken killin me 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
HAHAHAHAHA
drink too much coffee🤦🏼♀️🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋😉
I'm from south africa and I would never get to see this, thank you for sharing your beautiful country with those around the world.
If it weren't for counseling the last 15 years, I definitely would not be ok right now
i went to yellowstone june of 2019, and one day it was 70 and the next day it was 20 and snowing in june
Now that you’ve left Yellowstone, you need to watch the movie Supervolcano.
✌️
Was going way to fast
I’m from Nebraska, and yes that’s how the weather here works.
Yeah, get some winter wipers and studded snow tires. That whole area can get bad fast
that happened to me in south Connecticut almost into nyc, freak snow storm, i was loaded with my truck and horse trailer, out of no where I almost ran into an 18 wheeler that did not have working lights. I could not stop praising my husband for his good driving skills to get around it and miss it.
As a Canadian, this made me laugh 😂
Oh that’s interesting. Note to Hollywood, it is easier to feign crying if you’re wearing sunglasses.
How do you get tires to squeal on ice?
Your titles are so “Drama Queen”. I guess that’s what you are willing to do to get the click$. It feels like I’m watching one of those scripted “reality” TV shows. I bet you have amazing “fish that got away” stories.
We were thinking of driving to Yellowstone from Sacramento 2 weeks ago and I'm glad it didn't happen.
Omg. If every one in Norway. Drive so bad in winter. The whole country would shyt down. This is not a winter storm. Trust me 😆😆 But maybe it would help with winter tires.
Just discovered your vlog. Glad you both are safe. Watch a marathon of your vlogs from your visit to the Philippines (I’m Filipino) until you upgrade your van. Not knowing that it was already 2:30 AM. Then got to wake up early today with for my run. Tired while running due to lack of sleep but it is worth it. Your videos are so beautiful very clear and the shots are amazing. Most of all it is very informative. Love it. Continue what your doing.
The most dangerous part of winter traveling in the US is your first step outside your hotel in the morning. Many proprietors are too cheap or lazy to throw a little ice melt outside the exits to keep people from slipping on icy ground and bashing their heads in.
Where did you go in Nebraska? Safe travels guys!
driving in those conditions is truly terrifying, so sorry you guys went through that, and glad you made it to safety
When did they go to South Carolina and what was the video?
Thank God you are both alive. I don't know you you all but this video had me balling my eyes out while you were explaining th accident that didn't happen. Glad you both are safe & thanks for the video. Me and my partner are heading to Yellow Stone on the 21st till the 25th. We live in Hollywood and I can't wait to see it. Have fun! New sub! 🙏 -Peace, Jerry ✌️
This woesn’t even bad welcome to the Midwest
Tip for the day? Don't drive in bad weather?
Thanks goodness you guys are okay
MY FACEBOOK RYAN ARIENZA
ENJOY THE NATURE GUYS
go live in Alaska for a few years..... then nothing will phase you....
Welcome to South Dakota. From a person from SD slow down and pay more attention then what you would normally.
We were thinking of driving to Yellowstone from Sacramento 2 weeks ago and I'm glad it didn't happen.
Thank you, thank you for sharing your trip to Yellowstone! We spent late winter to late summer there in 2018 and still can't find the right words to describe the place. Magnificent doesn't quite cut it. It's beyond that. The bison jams we're faves of ours. So glad to see YNP in winter through your eyes. So glad you made it there safely. Happy trails!
trust me , its Way worse to be In the Semi
Thank you Jesus for keeping them safe 😭
If you never drive in snow and ice. Yellowstone is not a good place to start. Very stupid on your part.
I know I’m a week late but the worst time to drive with snow if right after. There’s usually black ice and you can’t see it, it just looks like the road is wet. Then you slip and slide and that’s when the most accidents happen. I’m glad you guys are okay!
Omg this new generation .. crying good god no wonder why we have cancel culture
Stay in the 18 wheeler's tire tracks and don't use your brakes too much, let your engine do the breaking. Hang in there and hope for the best, good luck driving on black ice.
black ice is very scary.
You are so pretty
Thank you for taking us to Yellow stone!
That’s nothing try driving on are roads in Canada during winter
I live pretty close to Yellowstone national park and I highly recommend going in the summer
How about checking the weather!
I’ve always lived in Florida and have never seen snow or black ice. Wow. It’s beautiful but terrifying.
Been in that weather way too much in the mid west, used to drive home for Christmas every year 13 hours white knuckling it. Other drivers always were the scary part. Honestly I was more scared for you when you were in India and you talked about the drunken crowds of men attacking women. Really enjoying your van videos, maybe more than your old travel videos.
I've only been there in summer. Thanks for the great winter footage!
This is the reason we in Finland this things called winter tires... :DD
Tysm for my English assignment
CLICK BAIT NOTHING SCARY your welcome saved you 20mins of ur life it's just the heated water coming out the ground no accidents or near death scenarios
Love the sapphire pool. Saw it in September and it’s so pretty.
Me living in MN and looking at this like it’s normal
I think it was much worse when they walked on a glacier in Switzerland. Feel like this was nothing
wow this is the scariest thing i've ever seen in my whole life, but then again i am from western india
nice
What camera do you use?
Firstly there’s no need to cry! I mean that’s just dramatic fir dramatics sake. Second always carry chains fir your tyres. Third slow down ffs.
They were in a serious situation and talking about how scary it was then they saw a subway and it all went away for a second. Subway makes everything better
😂 the dude in a hoodie and shorts in the middle of this snow storm is the definition of Canadian 😅 he was prepared lol he planned for this 😂
i think we all are travelling together with kara and nate 💜
The even excellent excited children subjectively encourage because band ethnically steer excluding a measly mary. magical, cautious hood
US should invest with their snow tires for each states every winter like in Canada or other countries. Because you never know when a random snow storm, frozen rain, ice snow will come in your way like this one.
I just started watching their videos a couple days ago and am now so fully invested I was very much tearing up hearing them describe it because I absolutely know that fear.
