Extended highlights of the Boston Bruins at the Philadelphia Flyers

  • That shorty by Marchy just further enforces that he beats basically every single goalie in the league every time he faces them on a breakaway. Everyone loves to hate him, but if he was on their home team they’d love him

    • @C Every team would love to have him, because he is a full package. His PK is strong, given a full season he is easily 100 point player and has an amazing super power to get under other player's skin and kinda demoralize them. Im not a Bruin fan, but I am a fan of Marchand.

  • this is why the bruins are not gonna go far in the playoffs: they have horrible depth scoring. But at least their FOUR pretty good golatenders make up for it jeesh, that's 4X better golatending than the sabres and the sens combined. Well lets hope for the best :) go bruins

  • The disappointment in the announcers voice after that third goal. Can’t believe I’m saying this but it makes Jack Edwards look unbiased.

    XprixorXXprixorX7 days ago
    • @XprixorX Cheers! I think it's perfectly ok (and good) to verbalize the emotions of the fans. Every team's announcer will downplay some of the penalties committed by their own team too, but some announcers are plain ridiculous. TBH, my favorite part is when the flyer's announcers do a highlight/analysis on the opposition's best player and/or team.

      Jay KanJay Kan4 days ago
    • @Jay Kan I will agree with what you said here. You arent wrong, most announcers are biased. But with most announcers some parts of them are unbiased. Jack Edwards isn’t entirely biased. He has his moments don’t get me wrong but 90% of them time he’s fairly unbiased.

      XprixorXXprixorX4 days ago
    • @XprixorX We (and other commenters) already discussed and accepted that it's the role of every team's announcer to be biased and play tunes to their hometown team. However, the problem is your original statement implies that the flyers broadcasting team is EXCESSIVELY and/or COMPARABLY biased (with comparisons made to Jack Edwards/other teams). I disagree with that and provided supporting evidence on why I believe them to be one of the lesser biased teams in the league. Again, comparably speaking since you made comparisons first. I did not disagree that the flyers announcers (like every other team's) are in fact bias. The topic of discussion is, as you outlined, are they comparably more biased than other teams, like Jack Edwards? Read that again, because there's a difference between bias, and excessive bias-ness as you would've implied in your original comment. You were wrong, flyers announcers are not comparably more biased than other teams, evident by their constant (and sometimes annoyingly so) praise for the opposition)

      Jay KanJay Kan4 days ago
    • @Jay Kan I was not wrong. In this game the announcers were biased. And it may not show but they were in fact dissatisfied with the Bruins goals and electrified with the flyers goals. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s biased.

      XprixorXXprixorX4 days ago
    • @XprixorX Because your opinion about them being excessively bias is incorrect. The reasons were already given in the previous comments. You were/are wrong, henced, you were corrected. That's the "how". And yes, opinions can be corrected. You didn't want to accept it and tried to change the topic to how they shouldn't be unhappy (surprised) by now.

  • Bergeron responds to the only lowlight of his career with a road-win hat-trick. Not to mention he's been dealing with a broken nose for around 9 days now with just his visor, no cage or shield. That's good Captain stuff.

  • What a game for Swayman in his NHL debut. That save on the Farabee deflection, and on the Laughton Breakaway were huge. The first was pretty solid, but the second was brutal. Swayman stood on his head, and we really didn’t manage the puck well. Also Patrice Bergeron hitting 900 points in style with the Hatrick, and Marchy had 4 points. If this is the type of goaltending we’re getting in the future in Swayman and Vladar then the future looks pretty bright between the pipes in Boston.

    Brady BabineauBrady Babineau7 days ago
    • The first two Philly goals were on the defense. It felt like the Flyers had 15 shots in the first 5 minutes of the second

      Darnell SandersonDarnell Sanderson6 days ago
    • @Fat Clyde the puck was passed across the ice and Swayman thought a 1 timer was coming so he tried to make a desperation save but the guy with the puck bobbled it and it ended up working out for him since the top shelf was wide open
